Three fuchka factories fined over unhygienic conditions in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, May 14, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court of the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) today fined three fuchka factories a total of Tk 45,000 for operating in unhygienic conditions.

The drive, led by CCC Executive Magistrate Chaiti Sarvabidya, was conducted in the Goalpara area of Enayet Bazar. 

During the operation, the factories were found producing fuchka on a broken floor under unsanitary conditions, using low-quality flour mixed with rice bran.

The Shahed Fuchka Factory was fined Tk 20,000, Nur Nabi Fuchka Factory Tk 15,000, and Bhai Bhai Fuchka Factory Tk 10,000 for violations.

City Health Department sources said regular mobile court drives are being conducted to ensure food safety for city residents. They added that action against unsafe food production and sale will continue.
