Boro paddy,rice collection begin in Fatikchhari

CHATTOGRAM, May 16, 2026 (BSS)- The government has initiated the Boro paddy and rice collection program from farmers in Fatikchhari upazila of the district today. 

Sarwar Alamgir, MP, inaugurated the rice collection program as the chief guest at a   ceremony held at the Nazirhat Upazila Food Warehouse in the upazila.

 The ceremony, chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sayeed Md. Ibrahim, was attended among others by Upazila Agriculture Officer Abu Saleh, Upazila Food Controller Khondaker Mostafizur Rahman, and District Krishak Dal Member Secretary Nazim Uddin Shaheen, 
 
Sarwar Alamgir emphasized the hard work of farmers in producing paddy and highlighted the challenges they face in getting fair prices for their products. 

He praised the government for its agricultural initiatives, including the introduction of agricultural cards for farmers and the distribution of free fertilizer and rice seeds.
 
Alamgir also described the present government led by Tarique Rahman as agriculture-friendly and committed for the well being of the farmers.
