Didarul Alam of BSS made DUJ's acting GS

DHAKA, May 16, 2026 (BSS) - Didarul Alam Didar, Chief Reporter (Bangla) of the state-run Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), has been made the acting general secretary (GS) of the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ).

DUJ Secretary General Khurshid Alam is leaving Dhaka for Saudi Arabia to perform holy Hajj on May 19, said a release this evening.

During his absence, DUJ Joint General Secretary Didar will discharge the duties as the acting general secretary. 

DUJ General Secretary Khurshid Alam assigned him the responsibility through a letter issued today, the release added.
