DHAKA, May 16, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 19 suspected criminals involved in various criminal activities were arrested during special drives conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

“They were involved in various crimes under Jatrabari Police Station area,” said a press release issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media division here today.

It said that police produced them before the court.

The arrested are - Md Sifat Bepari (23), Md Osman Gani (31), Titu Dhar (32), Md Matin (35), Yunus Molla (36), Panna Begum (23), Harun Rashid (55), Md Mobarak (31), Md Eklas Molla alias Sabuj (25), Md Russell (28), Md Anisur Rahman Babu (28), Md Johnny (24), Md Nadim (40), Md Zahedul Islam (19), Md Nizam (40), Emon (22), Sajib (25), Bimal Babu (35) and Md Shuvo (40).

The DMP media division official said that these individuals were arrested yesterday (May 15) after conducting special raids in various crime-prone areas.

It said that among the arrestees, three were in regular cases, one in old case, four in arrest warrants and 11 in mobile courts.
