SIRAJGANJ, May 21, 2026 (BSS) - A woman was killed in a road accident near Dadpur Sahebganj Underpass on the Dhaka-Bogura highway under Raiganj upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rabeya Khatun, wife of Kobad Ali, a resident of Dadpur Sahebganj village of the upazila.

The accident took place around 6 am when a tank lorry crushed Rabeya while she was walking along the road at the time. She died on the spot.

Hatikumrul Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ismail Hossain confirmed the matter and said necessary legal action is being taken.
