RAJSHAHI, May 30, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of the proclaimer of the Great Independence, the pioneer of multi-party democracy, martyred President Ziaur Rahman, a food distribution program for the destitute and helpless was held today.

Rajshahi city unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) organized the food distribution programme this noon at Bhuban Mohan Park in the city.

The chief guest at the event was Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation and General Secretary of Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP. 

He distributed food among the helpless people and recalled the ideals, patriotism, and public welfare activities of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
 
President of city unit BNP Mamun-or-Rashid Mamun, was present at the programme.

Also present were JCD Convener Rakin Raihan Robin, Member Secretary Emdadul Haque Limon, Senior Joint Convener Khalid Bin Walid Abir, along with BNP leaders and activists from various levels of its affiliated and associate organizations.
 
The programme was held following a special prayer seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and with the pledge to uphold his political ideals.
 
Food was also distributed among the helpless and destitute at Laxmipur crossing organized by Rajpara Thana BNP on the occasion of the 45th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman this noon.

The chief guest at the event was Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation and General Secretary of the Metropolitan BNP.
 
Also present were BNP President Mamun-or-Rashid Mamun, Rajpara Thana BNP President Mizanur Rahman Mizan, General Secretary Aminul Islam, along with leaders of Rajpara Thana BNP and leaders and activists of affiliated and associate organizations.
