BAGERHAT, May 31, 2026 (BSS) – On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the Bagerhat district administration held a meeting with transport stakeholders to ensure the safe, orderly and smooth movement of people travelling back to their workplaces after the celebration of Eid. 
 
The meeting, held at the conference room of the Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner this afternoon, was presided over by Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Golam Md. Baten. Various aspects of road transport management, passenger services, fare regulation and road safety were discussed.
 
Among others, Bagerhat BRTA Assistant Director Lailatul Mawa, leaders of the District Bus, Minibus, Coach and Microbus Workers' Union, Owners' Association representative Niakat Sardar, workers' leader Selim Bhuiyan, journalists and representatives of various transport-sector organizations attended the meeting.
