RANGAMATI, May 31, 2026 (BSS) - The birth anniversary of poets Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Sukanta Bhattacharya was observed in the hilly district of Rangamati in a befitting manner.
 
On the occasion, a discussion meeting and cultural programme, organised by Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigosthi, was held today at Shilpakala Academy auditorium here with the slogan, “Let humanity triumph on the path of truth through the flame of consciousness.”
 
Local dignitaries, cultural activists, administrative officers and a good number of audiences attended the programme.
 
Speakers said Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Sukanta Bhattacharya conveyed messages of secularism, equality, and humanism.
 
They emphasized the need to uphold their ideals and promote cultural activities accordingly.
 
Following the discussion session, meritorious students were accorded reception.
