Two held with 64-kg ganja in Thakurgaon

RANGPUR, June 17, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested two alleged drug dealers with 64 kg of smuggled ganja from the Darapara culvert area in village Madarganj under Bhulli police station of Thakurgaon district on Tuesday night.
 
On a tip off, an operational team of the RAB-13's Dinajpur Camp in an anti-drug drive searched a pickup van there, seized the contraband ganja and the pickup and arrested the alleged drug dealers at 8:45 pm, a press release said here this afternoon.
 
The detainees were identified as Khorshed, 45, of Ramchandrapur Bhallak village under Brahmanpara police station of Cumilla district and Md Siraj Mia, 40, of village Ramchandragarh under Gauripur police station of Mymensingh district.
 
After filing a case against the arrested persons in this incident, the elite force handed over them along with the seized drugs and pickup van to Bhulli police station of Thakurgaon, the release added.
