BCG provides free medical treatment to 221 people in Mongla

KHULNA, June 24, 2026 (BSS) – Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) has provided free medical treatment and essential medicines to 221 underprivileged people through a medical camp held today at Joymoni in Mongla under Bagerhat district, said a press release of BCG.

According to the press release, BCG has been extending support to disadvantaged communities living in coastal and riverine areas since its inception. 

As part of its humanitarian activities, the force has been providing free medical services through regular medical campaigns for poor and low-income people.

Continuing this effort, a medical camp was organized at Joymoni High School under the management of Coast Guard Base Mongla from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm on Wednesday.

During the campaign, 221 poor, destitute and underprivileged people, including children, received free medical consultations and necessary medicines.

The Coast Guard would continue such public welfare activities in the future to support the well-being of coastal communities, the release added.
