JAMALPUR, July 26,2026(BSS)- A two -day workshop on science and math Olympiad began at the collectorate school in the town today.

Deputy Commissioner  (DC) Mohammad Yusuf Ali inaugurated the workshop as chief guest. He said aiming to establish since based society,  the  students should acquire proper knowledge on science.

 “  We have many brilliant students who have the ability to move the nation ahead and  the teachers  should build them as competent and moral citizens who will  participate in the competition in international arena, “ he said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Afsana Taslim presided over the workshop jointly organised by District Administration and the collectorate school.

Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Azizul Haque, Additional Superintendent of Police, Rakibul Islam, spoke among others,  at the inaugural meeting.

A total of 45 students of class nine and ten in seven Upazilas of the district are Taking part in the workshop. The students will get knowledge on physics, chemistry and ICT in the workshop.

A total of 12 teachers on the subjects will impart lessons to the students.
