
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 5, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 53 new dengue cases have been reported in the past 24 hours. This data was released in the dengue report issued by the Chattogram Civil Surgeon's Office on Saturday (September 5).
The report indicates that 44 of the new dengue patients have been admitted to government hospitals, while 9 have been taken to private hospitals and clinics over the last 24 hours. Of the new cases, 23 are receiving treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, 17 at the 250-bed General Hospital, 2 at Chattogram Combined Military Hospital (CMH), 2 at Upazila Health Complex, and 9 at private healthcare facilities. From January 1 to September 5 of this year, a total of 1,984 dengue patients have been recorded in government hospitals and 357 in private hospitals and clinics.
The cumulative number of infected individuals stands at 2,341. During this timeframe, 202 patients have been hospitalized. A total of 2,139 individuals have successfully recovered following treatment. There have been no new fatalities attributed to dengue patients in the last 24 hours; however, the total number of deaths this year due to dengue has reached 6 in Ctg.
