Farmer electrocuted in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, Sept 6, 2026 (BSS) - A farmer died after being electrocuted while carrying out electrical work at his home in Shyamnagar upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdur Razzak, 50, a resident of Chhotovetkhali village under Munshiganj union of the upazila.

According to local sources, the accident occurred around 9.00 am when Razzak came into contact with a live electrical wire while connecting an electric line at his home. He died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shyamnagar Police Station Shafiul Islam Patwari confirmed the incident.
