Photo card claiming Ivy’s release from prison is fake:  BanglaFact

DHAKA, May 21, 2025 (BSS) – BanglaFact, the fact-checking and media research team of the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB)  has identified a fake photo card circulating on social media that falsely claims former Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) mayor Selina Hayat Ivy has been released from prison.

According to BanglaFact’s investigation, the photo card titled “Ivy released on bail” was digitally manipulated and bears no relation to the truth. No television channel has reported such news.

Private television network Jamuna TV also confirmed to BanglaFact that the photo card is fabricated as it was designed using Jamuna TV’s signature photo-frame. The channel also marked the photo card as ‘Fake’.
