DHAKA, July 21, 2025 (BSS) - Fact-checking platform BanglaFact, operated by the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has identified a video claiming child abuse by the police in Gopalganj, which is actually an old video from Chapainawabganj.

In a statement, BanglaFact investigation team mentioned that a video has been circulating on social media Facebook claiming it was a video of torturing a child by police during clash centered on a National Citizen Party (NCP) march and rally in Gopalganj on July 16.

BanglaFact identified that the video is not of the clash centered on the NCP rally in Gopalganj on July 16.

In fact, it is a video from Chapainawabganj on July 6.
