FactWatch indentifies fake video involving Nahid Islam

Dhaka, July 25, 2025 (BSS) - FactWatch, a Bangladesh-based independent fact-checking organization, has identified a fake video claiming that it is the footage of Nahid Islam being beaten up, which is actually a video of another person.

According to a FactWatch investigation report, a video has been shared on Facebook claiming that it is the footage of National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam who was beaten up recently.

But, FactWatch investigation identified that the victim is not Nahid Islam, he is a different person.

Covering the person's face, the video is being circulated in the name of Nahid Islam, they added.
