BanglaFact detects fake photocard on Asif Nazrul's comment

DHAKA, Oct 24, 2025 (BSS) - BanglaFact, the fact-checking and media research team of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), has debunked a fake photocard falsely attributed to Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul.

BanglaFact's investigation found that the fabricated photocard, carrying the quote "BNP is destroying the country's peace, they should learn politics from Jamaat," was falsely circulated online using the name of Dainik Amar Desh newspaper.

The fact-checking team confirmed that Dainik Amar Desh had not published any such news or photocard.

Crucially, BanglaFact stated that Dr. Asif Nazrul had recently made no such comment.
