CHATTOGRAM, Jan 15, 2025 (BSS)- The Chattogram phase of Bangladesh Premier
League (BPL) kicked off tomorrow (Thursday) with as usually two matches at
its venue Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

In the day's first match, Dhaka Capitals will take on mighty Fortune Barishal
for their second victory in the tournament.

Dhaka lost six straight matches before coming to winning way with a bang.
They posted BPL highest 254-1 for their 149-run victory against Durbar
Rajshahi to mathematically keep their hopes alive to play the playoffs.

Liton Das reached three figures in 44 balls, the second fastest and fastest
in BPL by a Bangladesh batter. Eventually he was not out on 52 ball-125. His
fellow opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim also blasted 64 ball-108 as the duo shared a
BPL high 241-run partnership for the opening stand.

Barishal, which win three in five matches, so far are in third spot in the
points table at this moment. Rangpur Riders stay at top after winning all
seven matches.
 
In the second match of the day, Chittagong Kings will take on Khulna Tigers
to bolster their second spot. Chittagong, so far, won three in four matches.
Khulna won two in five matches to be at the fourth position.
