Inter-school final debate competition held in Magura

MAGURA, Jan 21, 2025 (BSS) - On the occasion of Youth Festival 2025, the
final round of the inter-school debate competition was held at the Chander
Hat conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office here today.

The event was organised by the Magura District Administration, Local
Government Engineering Department (LGED), and the Department of Public Health
Engineering with the support of the Magura Ideal Debate Association.

The debate topic was "The lack of creativity, not employment, is the primary
problem of the young generation".

In the final round, Arpara Model Secondary School participated as the
proposition team while Magura Government Secondary Girls' School competed as
the opposition team.

Md. Hossain Shawkat, former additional divisional commissioner of Khulna, was
present at the event as the chief guest with Magura Deputy Commissioner Md.
Ohidul Islam in the chair.

Debate is not just a competition, it expands students' knowledge and plays a
vital role in enhancing their logical and intellectual abilities, the chief
guest said.

After the competition, he handed over prizes to the champion team.
Certificates and crests were also distributed among all participants.

This debate competition, as part of Youth Festival 2025, has played a
significant role in fostering creativity and leadership qualities among the
youth.
