NATORE, Jan 21, 2025 (BSS)- National Gold Cup Football tournament (U-17 boys'
and girls') has begun at Natore Stadium today [Tuesday] on the occasion of
Festival of Youth.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the district Asma Shaheen formally inaugurated
the meet as the chief guest.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of the district Md Marufat Hossain, Local
Government Division Deputy Director Md Shahmim Hossain, Additional Deputy
Commissioner (general) Md Rawshan Ali and District Sports Officer Md Tariqul
Islam were present in the opening ceremony.
Boys' and girls' from seven upazilas of the district along with Natore
municipality are taking part in the competition. Apart from the teams, Natore
Sadar and Lalpur teams also took part in the meet.
The final of the meet will be held on January 24.
The winning boys' and girls' teams of the district will take part in the
divisional phase tournament later.
