Gaibandha National Gold Cup U-17 ends

GAIBANDHA, Jan 24, 2025 (BSS)- Final matches of National Gold Cup Tournament for the boys U-17  and Girls U-17 were held here on Thursday amid much enthusiasm.

The final match for the Boys U-17 was held on the ground of Islamia High School in the afternoon. 

In the match, Sadar Upazila team defeated Sadullapur Upazila team by 2-0 goals.
 
On the other hand, the final match of Girls U-17 was held at Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium. 

In the match, Palashbari Upazila team beat Fulchhari Upazila team by 10-0 goals. 

After the match, a prize distribution ceremony was held where Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) AKM Hedayetul Islam distributed prize among the winners. 

District sports officer Alamgir Kabir, Vice president of district BNP and former general secretary of District Sports Association Shahiduzzaman Shahid, freedom fighter Mozibar Rahman, manager of Palashbari Girls’ team Suruz Haque Liton and Coach Abdul Kuddus were present on the occasion.

District Sports officer Alamgir Kabir told BSS that the tournament was held on the occasion of Youth Festival -2025.
