BAF celebrates Festival of Youth in Natore

DHAKA, Jan 24, 2025 (BSS)-With the aim of building a new Bangladesh, Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF) has been conducting various activities across the country on occasion of Festival of Youth under the slogan of “Let's change the country, change the world”.

As part of the continuation after Nilphamari, Faridpur and Gazipur district, the BAF celebrated the Festival of Youth holding various day-long activities at Khubjipur chalanbil area of Gurudaspur upazila under Natore district on Friday.

Apart from archery competition, the day-long program also included colorful rally, ‘pitha festival’ and cultural events.

In the competition, Saiful Islam won gold in boys' recurve event. Imtiaz Fatemi Fuad and Safayet Hossain got silver and bronze in this event.

Arovi Afroze won gold in the girls recurve event while Prabhati Roy and Samia Akter won silver and bronze medals respectively in this event.

Md. Saidur Rahman, secretary of the ministry of health and family welfare, was the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the winners.

Bangladesh Archery Federation general secretary Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal and Bangladesh Sepak Takro Association general secretary Md Farque Dhali were present there as the special guests in the ceremony presided over by Fahmida Afroz, upazila executive officer of Natore Gurdaspur upazila.
