Al Amin snatches victory for Police FC in BPL

DHAKA, Jan 24, 2025 (BSS)- Forward Mohammed Al-Amin scored a brace as Bangladesh Police Football Club, came from behind, beat Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 2-1 goals in the last round match in the first-leg of Bangladesh Premier League football held at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Friday.

Apart from Al Amin’s two goals in the match, Ghanaian midfielder Mamoud Oshie netted a lone goal for Rahmatganj.

The match was locked 1-1 draw at the breather. 

In the day’s match, Mamoud Oshie put Rahmatganj ahead in the 25th minute while Al-Amin restored the parity in the 35th minute of the match.

After the resumption, Al-Amin sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Police in the 68th minute.

Rahmatganj however tried their best to stage a fight back in the match but they could not score any in the remaining proceeding. 

With the day’s win, Police moved up sixth position in the league able with 10 points from nine matches while the traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj stayed fourth position in the league table with 15 points playing the same number of outings.
