DHAKA, Jan 25, 2025 (BSS)—Durbar Rajshahi will take on table topper Rangpur Riders in a crucial game to make a giant stride toward the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) playoffs.

Their hopes to make a spot in the last-four revived when they snapped Rangpur’s eight-match winning streak in the previous match in Chattogram.

If the win in the previous match gave them a chance to revive the hope, the return-leg match is more significant in keeping them the race firmly.

Rangpur, however, would try to bounce back in the winning way after being upset in the last match. Even though their playoffs are confirmed, they would definitely try to gain the momentum by winning the remaining matches of the group phase.

Earlier in the day, Fortune Barishal will take on Sylhet Strikers to kick off the crucial phase in Dhaka. In this phase, the rest of the three contenders of the BPL playoffs will be determined.

Barishal, itself is a contender.

If they win the match against Sylhet, they will be the second team to confirm the last four spot. They are currently at the second spot in the point table with 12 points from nine matches.
 
Sylhet are languished at the bottom table and so far in the only team to be eliminated from the last four race.
