Nabi creates a record in BPL

DHAKA, Jan 26, 2025 (BSS)- Afghanistan recruit Mohammad Nabi created a record 
in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) by taking highest wickets amongst the 
overseas players.

Nabi who is playing for Fortune Barishal in this season, picked up two 
wickets for 26 against Sylhet Strikers, which took his wicket-tally to 74. He 
eclipsed the record of Sri Lankan recruit Thisara Perera who had 73 wickets 
so far.

Perera who is leading Dhaka Capitals in this edition will have the chance to 
overtake him when his side will play the next game.

Nabi, so far, played for five franchises in BPL that included Sylhet Royals, 
Cumilla Victorians, Rangpur Rangers and Chittagong Vikings apart from 
Barishal. He so far played 66 matches in the BPL.
