THAKURGAON, Jan 31, 2025 (BSS) – A three-day pitha festival began in the district last afternoon aiming to introduce the disappearing traditional pitha-pulis to the new generation.

Deputy Commissioner of Thakurgaon Ishrat Farzana inaugurated the festival at the Government Boys High School ground here today on the occasion of the Youth Festival 2025.

As many as 30 small entrepreneurs attended the festival with their own creative pitha stalls on the High School ground.

Visitors from all ages thronged the festival venue and got acquainted with varieties of pithas like Chitai, Bhapa, Patisapta, Nakshi Pitha, Bibiana and Malpoa.
