Farida calls for introducing chef as artist

DHAKA, Feb 7, 2025 (BSS) –Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter today called for introducing all chefs as artists as they prepare food in beautiful and artistic manner in front of people.   

"We should give chefs the status of artists. Every chef is an artist," she said while speaking at the 'Bangladesh Chef Conference' at Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Park in city's Banani as the chief guest.

Tourism and Hospitality Industry Skills Council organized the conference as part of the Youth Festival with the theme 'Come Change the Country, Change the World', a press release said.

The conference showcased many traditional Bangladeshi food items, the release added.

Referring to local food as part of culture, the adviser urged all to introduce local food to the youth.

Chief Executive of the Bangladesh Tourism Board Abu Tahir Muhammad Jaber spoke in the conference as a special guest with Chairman of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Skills Council Mohiuddin Helal in the chair.

Secretary General of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Skills Council gave the welcome speech on the occasion.
