Turkey says 234 held in massive multi-nation swoop on organised crime

ISTANBUL, April 15, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Turkish authorities announced on Tuesday a massive multinational operation into organised crime that led to over 200 arrests, primarily in Turkey.

"This morning, a total of 234 high-level members of an organised crime group were detained, nine of whom were abroad and 225 were at home," Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya told a press conference.
