UNITED NATIONS, United States, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The science surrounding planet-warming fossil fuels is "clear enough," French President Emmanuel Macron told a United Nations climate summit on Wednesday, a day after US President Donald Trump called global warming a "con job."

"Sometimes we hear speeches that tend to suggest that the climate or biodiversity issue is somehow a matter of opinion, that science is not terribly clear," Macron said.

"I still believe that the science is clear enough. In any case, well credentialed scientists, recognized by their peers, do not leave much doubt."
