AL sent 12 cadre officers to forced retirement

SANGSAD BHABAN, April 16, 2026 (BSS)- State Minster for Public Administration Abdul Bari today said a total of 12 BCS admin officers were sent to forced retirement during previous Awami League regime.

Replying to a scripted question from treasury bench member Shamsur Rahman Simul Biswas (Pabna-5) in the House today the state minister said Awami League government also dismissed a total 39 officers from service and 564 officers were made OSD. 

Abdul Bari also said allegations of corruption and politicization in BCS cadre recruitment during Awami League government are currently under investigation by the Anti-Corruption Commission and other law enforcement agencies. 

“Legal action will be taken based on the investigation reports and recommendations,” he added.
