DHAKA, July 10, 2026 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today sent 19-year-old Tahsin Islam to jail after he was arrested over alleged involvement with the extremist group "Fatah Combat System (FCS)."

Investigation Officer Sub-Inspector A B Siddiq of Jatrabari Police Station produced Tahsin before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court and sought a seven-day remand for interrogation.

However, Metropolitan Magistrate Albiruni Mir rejected the plea and ordered him to be sent to jail.

Police said Tahsin was detained from his residence in Jessore on Thursday night.

During a search, they recovered a machete, wires and several electronic devices.

Police also said Tahsin admitted during preliminary questioning that he was involved with FCS.
