Tk 4,038cr proposed for Security Service

DHAKA, June 2, 2024 (BSS) - The government has allocated Taka 4,038 crore for the Security Service Division in the proposed budget for the fiscal year (FY) 2025-26.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today proposed the allocation after unveiling a Taka 7,90,000 crore national budget for the fiscal year 2025–26.

Of the total allocation, Tk 1,336 crore was proposed for development and Tk 2702 crore for operational  purposes.

The allocation is Taka 341 crore higher than the revised budget of the previous FY 2024-25. 
 
The government has allocated Tk 35,403 crore for the Public Order and Safety in the proposed budget for the FY 2025-26 which is Tk 380 crore higher than the revised budget for the FY 2024-25.
