PM attends office at secretariat after Eid holidays

DHAKA, March 24, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today performed his official duties at his Cabinet Division office in the Bangladesh Secretariat here on the first working day after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

The premier reached at his office at 9:01 am after leaving his Gulshan residence at 8:40 am, said Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman. 

After entering his office, Tarique Rahman first exchanged Eid greetings with officers and employees. He then formally began his official works for the day.

Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat, Prime Minister’s Adviser Mahdi Amin, Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani, Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar as well as secretaries and senior officials from different ministries exchanged pleasantries with the Prime Minister. 

Later, Director of the Asia and Pacific Department (APD) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Krishna Srinivasan paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Cabinet Division.

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury was present during the meeting.
