CHATTOGRAM, March 23, 2026 (BSS) - The first and second day of Eid-ul-Fitr in Chattogram was filled with festive and cheer as people from all walks of life gathered at tourist spots like sea beaches.

Local BNP leaders and workers offered traditional Mezbani meals to celebrate the occasion. The city experienced light traffic and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a tranquil day. Despite being a bustling port city, Chattogram appeared deserted due to the extended Eid holidays, with fewer commuters and vehicles on the roads. Residents took the opportunity to visit their loved ones and exchange greetings during the leisurely holiday period.

During the festive season, people, especially children, teenagers, and young adults, were seen wearing new clothes and shoes as they happily visited relatives and friends. The atmosphere of security and safety was restored due to strict security measures enforced by law enforcement agencies.
