RAJSHAHI, March 23, 2026 (BSS) - Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, has said that, like his father, the late President Ziaur Rahman, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is leading the nation toward change.

He said, “You can see how Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is guiding the nation toward transformation just like his father, Ziaur Rahman. He is moving the country forward with simplicity and integrity, building friendships with all rather than accepting anyone as a master.”

The Land Minister made these remarks this afternoon while speaking as the chief guest at the 50th anniversary celebration of Khurshed Molla Government Girls’ High School in Nachole Upazila of Chapainawabganj.

Mizanur Rahman Minu also said that significant progress in education was achieved in the country under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia. A country progresses when the majority of its people are properly educated. The current government, he added, will continue the development in the education sector initiated by the previous BNP government.

The event was presided over by the school’s headmaster, Nazrul Islam. Among others present were Dr. Munshi Abu Saif, Head of the Bangla Department at Chuadanga Government College; Md. Harunur Rashid, Administrator of Chapainawabganj District Council; former Member of Parliament for Chapainawabganj-2, Aminul Islam; Acting UNO of Nachole, Sultana Raziya; and others.

Earlier, marking the school’s 50th anniversary, Mizanur Rahman Minu joined a colorful procession. The procession started from the school premises and paraded through various areas of the upazila headquarters.
