Bagerhat, March 23, 2026 (BSS) – Members of RAB-6 arrested a person along with a large quantity of drugs in Kachua upazila here.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-6 conducted a drive on Sunday night and intercepted a pickup truck carrying 66 kg of marijuana. The elite force challenged the vehicle and, after searching it, seized the contraband items.
The arrestee was identified as Manjarul, 35, who was travelling in the vehicle. However, the driver managed to flee the scene.
During primary interrogation, Manjarul confessed that he had been collecting drugs from different border areas of the country for a long time and supplying them to coastal districts.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kachua Police Station Md. Shafiqul Islam said a case has been filed in this connection.
