LONDON, Jan 15, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - "Conclave" and "Emilia Perez" led the
shortlist of films unveiled Wednesday vying for recognition at Britain's
BAFTA awards next month, as the race for Oscars glory in early March heats
up.

"Conclave", a fictionalised account of high-stakes Holy See horse-trading
after the death of a pope, earned 12 BAFTA nominations while surreal narco-
thriller musical "Emilia Perez" followed close behind with 11, with both
competing for the coveted best film award.
