‘Mobile music show on a truck' enthralled hundreds of Rangpur youths

RANGPUR, Jan 31, 2025 (BSS) – Rendition of popular songs by renowned artists in a daylong
‘mobile music show on a truck’, organised by the District Information Office on Thursday,
enthralled hundreds of youths in Rangpur city.

The artists rendered patriotic songs, Bhaoyaiya and songs dedicated to martyrs of the July
Revolution at important places of the city with the theme ‘Let's change the country, change the
world’, marking the Youth Festival 2025.

The artists rendered songs at Public Library ground, Shapla Square, Begum Rokeya University
Gate, Satmatha Square, Modern Mour and other places from the morning and gathered at a
function at Khotkhotia High School ground in the afternoon.  

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Md Ramiz Alam attended the ‘mobile
music show on a truck’ function as the chief guest with Assistant Director of the District
Information Office Md Alamgir Kabir in the chair.
 
Moderated by Assistant Information Officer of the District Information Office Tania Taznin
Memi, Headmaster of Khotkhotia High School Md Asaduzzaman and noted cultural personality
Moksudar Rahman Pramanik Mukul, addressed the function as special guest.

In his welcome speech, Alamgir Kabir said the ‘mobile music show on a truck’ was arranged
with the theme ‘Let's change the country, change the world’, with the aim of building a new
prosperous Bangladesh, free from discrimination and injustice.

“The youth of the country will build a prosperous Bangladesh free from discrimination to
glorify their supreme sacrifice in the anti-discrimination student-people movement by upholding
the spirit of the July mass uprising that has created a unique opportunity to restructure society,’
he said.

The speakers discussed the chronological changes in national history and the reasons why the
aspirations of the people are not fulfilled even after 54 years of independence and the rise of
deprivation, culture of corruption, dictatorship and fascism.

The chief guest said the Youth Festival-2025 has been organized at the divisional, district,
upazila and all levels in memory of the martyrs in the July uprising to unite the youth and
awaken a sense of values, love and collective movement among them.

The youth should remain united in the spirit of the war of liberation and the July uprising to
build a developed, modern and prosperous Bangladesh free from all sorts of injustice,
exploitation, corruption and discrimination.

“The Youth Festival 2025 will establish unity among the youth, develop their creativeness and
pioneering power, persuade social and cultural values, and increase environmental
conscientiousness to guide the future nation,” he said.
