Janaza of slain Abul Kashem held in Gazipur

GAZIPUR, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Namaz-e-Janaza of Abul Kashem, who was killed in an Awami League terror attack at the house of former minister AKM Mozammel Haque at Dhirashram in Gazipur, was held at Rajbari Maidan in Gazipur.
 
Leaders of BNP, Jamaat and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, as well as police and administration officials joined the janaza.

The vehicle carrying the body of Shaheed Abul Kashem reached Rajbari Maidan in Gazipur around 10:30am today from Dhaka as hundreds of people were waiting at the Maidan since morning. 

Later, the janaza was held around 11:30 am. From there, the body was taken to Dakshin Kalmeshwar's house in Board Bazar. After another namaz-e-janaza, he was laid to rest in the family graveyard.

Before the janaza, Gazipur City Jamaat Ameer Professor Jamal Uddin, Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dr. Nazmul Karim Khan, Gazipur Joint Convener of the Anti-Discrimination Movement Md. Rashed, Metropolitan Jamaat Nayebe Ameer Md. Ali Hossain, Central Member of the Anti-Discrimination Movement Imtiaz Ahmed Tanvir, Gacha Thana Jamaat Ameer Niaz Uddin, Sadar Metro Thana BNP President Advocate Mehedi Hasan Elich and Hefazat-e-Islam leader Maulana Nasir Uddin spoke briefly.
