NAOGAON, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) - Special Assistant (State Minister Status) for Education Ministry Professor Dr M Aminul Islam today said Naogaon University will develop human resources suitable for the 5th Industrial Revolution and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the robotic era.

He made the remarks while addressing the 2nd founding anniversary of Naogaon University at Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium as the chief guest.

Naogaon University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Moh Hasanat Ali chaired the programme, while University Grants Commission member Professor Dr Masuma Habib, Pabna University of Science and Technology Vice Chancellor Professor Dr SM Abdul Awal, Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal and Police Superintendent Shafiul Sarwar and founder of TMSS Professor Dr Hosne Ara delivered speeches.

Professor Awal said that there was a university at Paharpur in Naogaon in the 8th century. “But it is unfortunate that Naogaon University is yet to begin its academic activities despite passage of the university bill in 2023,” he added.

He urged authorities concerned to take steps to start academy activities of Naogaon University immediately.

Vice Chancellor of Naogaon University Professor Dr Moh Hasanat Ali said, “Today we are celebrating the 2nd founding anniversary but there are no teachers and students of the university at the event which is very sad.”

He expressed his hope to celebrate the next founding anniversary on the university’s own campus.

Earlier, the chief guest inaugurated the 2nd founding anniversary by releasing pigeons and festoons.

Meanwhile, Naogaon University Bill was passed in the National Parliament on February 13, 2023.
