509 more miscreants arrested in Operation Devil Hunt

DHAKA, Feb 14, 2025 (BSS) – As part of the ongoing 
nationwide joint forces crackdown “Operation Devil 
Hunt”, 509 more miscreants were arrested in the last 24 
hours.
   
The police headquarters (PHQ) in a short message service 
today said 1457 more were arrested from across the 
country. Of them, 948 were arrested in various criminal 
cases.

During Friday's operation, a single barrel gun, one 
shooter gun, one cartridge, ten machetes, a Chinese 
knife, one knife with wooden handle, two Chinese 
machetes, a Chinese axe, three wooden-handled long 
knives, four 'Dhamas' and an axe with wooden-handle were 
seized.

On Thursday, 1665 individuals were arrested from 
different parts of the country. Of the total arrestees, 
566 were nabbed under the Operation Devil Hunt while 
1099 in different criminal cases.  

With the aim of bringing the anarchists and their 
associates under the law across the country, the 
'Operation Devil Hunt' campaign has been launched from 
February 8.
