DHAKA, Feb 17, 2025 (BSS) - Like the previous years, the Bangladesh Bank will 
issue new notes in the market denominations of Taka 5, Taka 20, and Taka 50 
through various scheduled banks of Dhaka region centering the upcoming Holy 
Eid ul Fitr.

The common people will be able to take new notes from March 19 to March 25 
(except the weekends and government holidays), said a central bank release.

It said that the new notes of Taka 5, Taka 20 and Taka 50 denominations will 
be distributed under special measures through 80 branches of various 
scheduled banks in Dhaka region as well as through various offices of 
Bangladesh Bank during the above mentioned timeframe.
 
One person will be able to collect notes once.
