One held with counterfeit notes of Tk 3.66 lakh in city

DHAKA, Feb 24, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested a person with counterfeit currency of Tk 3.66 lakh from the Bhatara area in the city.

The arrestee was identified as Md Al-Amin, 24.

Police said Al-Amin was arrested yesterday from in front of Jamuna Plaza under Bhatara police station along with the aforesaid amount of counterfeit currency. 

Police further said that arrested Al-Amin is a member of a gang that markets counterfeit notes.
