HOLLYWOOD, United States, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Here are the nominees in key categories for the 97th Academy Awards, to be handed out in Hollywood on Sunday.

"Emilia Perez," Jacques Audiard's audacious musical about a ruthless Mexican drug lord who transitions to life as a woman, leads the competition with 13 nominations.

But Cinderella romp "Anora," immigrant saga "The Brutalist" and Vatican thriller "Conclave" are now tipped to take the top prize, the Oscar for best picture.
