MEHERPUR, March 24, 2025 (BSS) - Police in a drive arrested former Member 
of Parliament (MP) of Kishoreganj-5 constituency Afzal Hossain from Taher 
Clinic Para area of the district town.

After conducting a raid at Mamun Hossain's house in Meherpur. police arrested 
him early Monday morning. 

He is the owner of Afzal Shoes. Mamun Hossain, who sheltered former MP 
Afzal Hossain, is an employee of Afzal Shoes Company and a resident of Taher 
Clinic Para area of the district town.

Mamun Hossain has been taken to the police station for questioning. 

Police identified the location of the former MP using information technology. 
Confirming the arrest of Afzal Hossain, Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge 
Mejba Uddin said that a team of Kishoreganj District Police has left for 
Meherpur.

Afzal Hossain will be handed over to them, he said.
