RANGAMATI, March 26, 2025 (BSS) – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 
today paid glowing tributes to Bir Shrestha Munshi Abdur Rouf on the occasion 
of the Independence Day and National Day-2025.

Rangamati Sector Commander Colonel Mohammad Iftekhar Hossain placed 
wreath on behalf of the BGB Director General at the grave of Bir Shrestha 
Munshi Abdur Rouf at Burighat in Naniarchar upazila of the district this 
morning.

Later, wreaths were laid on behalf of Rangamati Sadar Sector. 

BGB Kaptai Zone Commander Lt. Col. Kawsar Mehdi , a local person named 
Dayal Krishna Chakma, who identified the mutilated body of Bir Shrestha 
Munshi Abdur Rauf and journalists were present at the time.

At that time, BGB members played a sad tune of the bugle and displayed an 
armed salute to Bir Shrestha Munshi Abdur Rauf. 

Later, prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Abdur 
Rauf. 

BGB Rangamati Sector Commander Colonel Mohammad Iftekhar Hossain 
provided a financial aid to Dayal Krishna Chakma. 

Later, various educational institutions and social organizations of the area placed 
wreaths at the grave of Bir Shrestha Munshi Abdur Rauf.
