DHAKA, Mar 26, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Embassy in Italy today celebrated the National and Independence Day with due solemnity, a release of the embassy said.
The programmes included hoisting of the national flag, paying tributes to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War and 2024 mass uprising, observing one minute silence and holding special prayers.
Prayers were offered seeking divine blessings for eternal peace of the departed souls of the martyrs and for continued development, peace and progress of the country.
Messages from Bangladesh's Chief Adviser and Foreign Adviser were read out in the events.
Besides, a documentary on the Independence Day was screened at the event.
Ambassador Rokibul Haque addressed the programme as the chief guest.
