Bangladesh HC in Islamabad celebrates Independence Day

DHAKA, Mar 26, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad celebrated the National and Independence Day with due solemnity.

The programmes included hoisting of the national flag, paying tributes to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War and 2024 mass uprising, observing one minute silence.

Special prayers were offered seeking divine blessings for eternal peace of the departed souls of the 1971 martyrs and 2024 martyrs and continued development, peace and progress of the country, according to messages received here today.

Messages from Chief Adviser and Foreign Adviser were read out in the events organized at the mission to observe the day.

Besides, a documentary on July Uprising was screened at the event. 

High Commissioner Md Iqbal Hossain addressed the programme as the chief guest.
