Bangladesh HC in Malaysia celebrates Independence Day

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 26, 2025 (BSS) – The Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur observed the Independence and National Day with due solemnity.
 
The programs marking the day included the hoisting of the national flag, paying tribute to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War and the 2024 mass uprising, observing a one-minute silence, and holding special prayers for all martyrs of Bangladesh’s War of Independence and the 2024 July Uprising, and for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the country and its people, according to a press release.
 
On the occasion, the current High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, Shameem Ahsan, addressed a program as the chief guest.
 
Messages from Bangladesh's Chief Adviser and Foreign Adviser were read out during the event.
 
In addition, documentaries on the Liberation War and the July-August mass uprising were also screened there.
