‘July Square’ inaugurated in Feni

FENI, March 27, 2025 (BSS) - ‘July Square’ has been inaugurated at Hospital Moor of the district town to commemorate the martyrs of the 'July 24' mass uprising.

Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam inaugurated the structure on Wednesday afternoon.

Municipality administrator and deputy director of Local Government Department Golam Mohammad Baten, executive engineer Mohammad Zakir Uddin, deputy assistant engineer Biplob Kumar Nath, Shaheed Istiak Ahmed Shravan’s father Nesar Uddin and Jatiya Nagorik Party organizer Shah Wali Ullah Manik were present, among others, at the event.

Municipality administrator Golam Mohammad said that at the initiative of the municipality ‘July Square’ was constructed spending Taka 28 lakh.

A commemorative plaque was installed on it with the names of 10 people who were martyred during the student-led mass uprising in Feni, Dhaka and Chattogram.
